The adventure that is Events at CANVAS is a continually evolving impulse of our great expressive passions: service, hospitality, artful beauty and culinary excellence.  Combined, these disciplines fold into ever more seamless interactions within the natural backdrop that is often overlooked and underappreciated in our hurly-burly world.  Our offer is to provide our clients with the opportunity to create magical, unusual, and perhaps even extraordinary events that serve to transport their guests from the time sensitive realm of Cronos to a time out of time, a Kairos, in which a special moment unfolds, chronological time takes a break, and something else can emerge.

The land which we steward is your blank CANVAS for creativity.  Our initial vision is to offer the finest chefs in a unique, brick-less, kitchen-less, power-less, open-fire rendering of culinary mastery that holds within it the very real possibility of uncertainty.  There are no control knobs.  There is no backup plan.  The chef is devoid of most of their tools and must rely on fire, knowledge, preparation and improvisation.  Its close-up magic, divined to tickle the soul.

Purposely keeping our capacity to a minimum, our experiences are at once a cooking demonstration, one where you can probably chop, flip, drizzle or fling, shoulder to shoulder with a master, a chef’s table, a high-wire act, and an emersion into risk – the kind of low-stakes, high-value, risk/reward peril that enlivens the soul and awakens our own sense of possibility.
